We would like to stay in touch with you, so we invite you to keep using our portal. By graduating, you have lost your student status and consequently your access to the e-Career Centre (as a student), but that does not mean that we have stopped caring about your career.

Through the Career Centre graduates can stay informed about opportunities for:

• continuing their studies;
• looking for a job efficiently.

CONTINUATION OF STUDIES
We offer advice and information about second- and third-cycle study programmes implemented by the University of Novo Mesto Faculty of Business and Management Sciences.

JOB SEARCH
Planning your career in advance makes the job search easier. Your job search should be efficient: you must organise your activities well; make a weekly activity plan (which search methods to use, when to write job applications, when to attend an interview); analyse the organisations that are hiring in advance.

Implementation of one-on-one/group counselling and organisation of workshops that cover the following contents:

• Getting to know yourself and analysing your desires, and potential jobs that could be a part of your professional career;
• Analysing the labour market situation and making a selection of potential or suitable organisations that are hiring;
• Job search (ways of finding employment online; applying to ads and calls for applications; registering with the Employment Service of Slovenia; searching for a job via employment agencies; contacting the employer directly; attending job fairs; looking for work through student employment services, etc.);
• Application or request (structure of the form/application; contents of a professionally written personal presentation – CV; attachments, etc.).

JOB INTERVIEW
It provides the chance to introduce yourself in person. The Career Centre informs job seekers about the right approach to a job interview, namely how to write a job application and CV; how to prepare for a job interview; what to do before the interview; how to actively participate in the interview and what to do after the interview.

Implementation of one-on-one/group counselling and organisation of workshops that cover the following contents:

• Preparation for a job interview (types of job interviews, help with preparing for the interview);
• The interview (a simulated interview: the course of the interview, mistakes at the interview, the most frequently asked questions, and the forbidden questions);
• After the job interview (the thank-you letter; how to proceed after being rejected; successfully taking up the post).

We have prepared contents on the web portal that will help you to plan your studies and career:

• programme of workshops and classes being implemented at the Career Centre;
• announcement of job vacancies related to your study field;
• up-to-date information for graduates about events in the local environment (job fairs, lectures, scientific conferences, classes, round tables, cultural and social events, etc.).

The Career Centre will inform you of events, news on the the labour market, public tenders and, via the database of the Employment Agency of the Republic of Slovenia (and others), about current vacancies.
